Fresh Violet is a rapper/producer that stands out from the crowd that is Aussie hip-hop’s new-wave, with her exceptional technical abilities and quirky, fun-loving personality marrying together perfectly in the recording booth.
These traits are evident in the new visuals for “Northside”—the latest single from her debut album, 50 Shades of Violet. Directed by Hoodwolf, the music video sees Yung Fresh traversing a Northside park, with lyrics take centre-stage as words enter and exit the frame playfully throughout. Her technical prowess is evident from the jump, as the first quatrain a combination of multis, metaphors, similes, and a fine-tuned rhyme scheme:
